I understand from Andrei that the wild dogs were seen on Tuli Lodge property, but two of the dogs had snares. He managed to dart one of the dogs and was going to try and dart the second dog the following day. Normally the deep cuts from a snare wound heal relatively well and sometimes on their own once the snare is removed. It turned out that in this case the dog's trachea was severed. Apparently Andrei did what he could and called the Botswana vet who normally helps in these situations. He recommended giving the dog some time to see how he does. Surprising the dog looked in good condition which Andrei attributes to the benefits of a pack living animal. He will be posting an update on the dogs and this story in more detail shortly.
