By playing this wild dog lost call through two horn speakers and an amplifier, the…See More

"Great news that you found them, Dewald. Like others, am puzzled about the rest of the pack... have groups of the dogs split off and gone their own way since we were at Mashatu in 2009? Or have the dogs had some really tough experiences in the past…"

"That's exciting. I too am wondering what happened to all of the other dogs? I am assuming no one knows. There were so many in 2008 when I visited there. I know they wander far and split up. Any idea how many are likely to be surviving?"

"This is great news Dewald - we are delighted to hear that you located the "lost" wild dogs and were able to successfully collar them. I am sure keeping track of them now just got a whole lot easier."

"Hi Fred, no luck on deploying the new collar on the wild dogs yet. Their tracks were seen on a South African farm recently. I really hope that they stay out of harms way in some of those "hostile" farms that side of the border."
